California Reception Jun 27th 6pm-8pm

Redlands, Ca Pioneer building

The happy couple

After 2 receptions and tons of pics I am still smiling :)

Here's the Claudio's! I am so happy they came to the California reception.

The OWEN family plus a few grandkids!

Joy's siblings! I was so happy that Glory and Kurt came down to Cali. They both live in Layton, Utah. It was such a wonderful end to a great princess fairytale week!

Michelle and her Daughter Alexis are Joy's friends from Cali. She is so glad they could come! Alexis made out with a ton of shells from the reception! Thank you for coming Michelle!

Joy's parents and Grandma Josie (Dad's mom) This picture is so cute!

We are thrilled Taylor Davis was able to play the piano at our reception. Joy remembers walking Taylor to Thrifty's with Kyle Wright when they were 4 years old. Everyone at the reception said they he plays amazingly! They are so right!

Joy's Family on her mom's side (Uncle Ray/Aunt June, Maren, Grandpa and Aunt Evaun)
We are so happy that so many extended family could come.

Bonnie Norby and Suzan on the left and on the right are the Adams girls: Katie, Cathy and Heather Adams. I was joking with my mom that if no one showed up and only the Adams did we would have a great party! Thanks for coming guys! Heather is getting married soon to her fiance on the left of her also. Exciting times!

This is some of the Redlands ward that came! Bea Fitzgerald, the Sheffers, Katie (I still remember falling off your bed when you were painting your room), and the Dodds

I think this picture is absolutely so beautiful of my Grandma Josie. She has the heart of a saint. She gives and gives to us Owen kids. When my mom married into her family, Grandma Josie's real name is Joy and it was confusing because of 2 Joy names, and she decided to change her name just for me so we wouldn't be confused. All of her other Grandkids call her Grandma Joy.

This is Brother and Sister Reader from Joy's ward she grew up in when she lived with her Grandparents in Alta Loma, Ca which is part of Rancho Cucamonga where her Grandma Jocie lives also. I was so happy they were able to come to the reception!

Looks like someone likes his new brother in law! We both have so much fun hanging out with Kurt. I am so happy Kurt can put up with both of us being so silly :)

Michelle, Alexis, Joy, Suzan and Sylvia (co-workers from Joy's work before she moved to Utah)

I think this picture is so cute of Star's daughter, Ashley. She loves Grandpa!

Joy's friend Michelle! So excited to see her in a week!

The Father's of the Bride and Groom! We love you both

Iris, Iris, Iris.... she threatened Tony when she first met him. Does he look scared? I love my Iris! Thank you both for coming! Joy grew up in Alta Loma down the street from the Alves family. They have 3 girls and 1 boy around our ages. We had so much fun together!

The pioneer building where we had our reception! Joy loves the idea of the LDS reception in the church building!

Star's husband Mark made this box when he was younger and then Debbi Pry painted this sand castle for the reception and Joy and Tony now have it in their home since their apartment has all beach and sandcastle decor.

These give-away chocolates were so much work for Joy to make. She very glad they turned out so nice!

The book signing table. (Mom it looks beautiful)

Has anyone had a juice bar at a reception? I loved this idea! Thanks for putting this together Dad!

Food line -- Are those seashell bowls? Yep... Joy's parents are amazing!

The sandcastle/seashell wedding cake

The wedding rings

Center pieces...Joy designed these herself.
